DLoD fanstuff

Dark Lord of Derkholm, my new favorite Diana Wynne Jones book! I just got to this scene and I HAD to do this (even though its crappy lol).

"The next part was truly difficult. Try as he might, Derk could not get the Pilgrims even to attempt to kill him. He bellowed with sinister laugher; he loomed over them uttering threats; he adopted a toneless, chilling voice and explained he was about to toss each of them into this bottomless pit flaming with balefire. This pit. Here."

"... It was not nearly for quarter of an hour, until Finn cannoned into the woman who happened to be in front, causing her to stumble against Derk with a scream, that Derk was able to consider the deed done. In the greatest relief he threw up his arms and toppled sideways into his trench."

Ah, I love this part. It's so funny. Um... for those of you who don't get it, read the book, or know that Derk up there is trying to fake his death in front of a group of tourists 120 times. 120 groups of tourists. Some of them are quite difficult, as you can see. lol.
