So it's almost the end of Christmas day here.

Being awake is hell. I'm only awake for 5-6 hours in a day, but I hate it nonetheless. The medication took my vision and now my sight is giving me migraines, so I'm trying to sleep through the days. As a result, I'm probably not going to be online very often. Plus, my big sister is home from college. I'm trying to spend time with her when I actually feel up to it.

I don't have anything nice to brag about for Christmas. I got socks and candles. That and some chocolate for the stockings is it.

I can't think of anything to say, so... if you wanna know what's up, just ask me, I guess.

Oh, yeah. And my birthday is in five days. Happy birthday. Hopefully I can just sleep through it.

Kira breaks her headphones

So I opened a new pair of Skullcandies today (excellent brand) and enjoyed them, but to my surprise there's no sensitivity adjuster.

Also to my surprise, 2% of the volume bar on my laptop is the difference between "can't hear it too well" and "OWW, god, don't change the volume too fast! christ, turn that goddamned thing down..."

Obviously, loudest phones I've ever heard.

So I decided to break them to bring them back to the store, citing over-loud-ness. Which is true and not lying at all.

So I turn my volume up full, put Youtube on full, and find an already-loud song in a G Minor video.

I couldn't turn it quite up all the way as to not wake up my mom on the other floor of the house, but they're broken as hell now and I'm a happy camper.

No sound adjust :icontheresyourproblemplz:

You know what irks me lately?

Fri Aug 28, 2009, 10:14 AM
So we all know conservative Christians consider homosexuals a bigger threat to modern society than terrorism and degenerating ecosystems, but lately they've raised the bar yet again on the "Holy shit, conservatives are morons" meter.

Despite the Bible outwardly supporting homosexual activity within a medically beneficial environment (read Leviticus on anal bleeding and infection, healthy sexual environments) (and I won't even start on Christians who preach half the goddamned book. "GAYS ARE EVIL BUT I CAN EAT SHELLFISH (and sell my virgin daughters to pathological liars and rapists)"), it's easy to see the hatred cultivated against gays and lesbians in our nonsensical religious societies.

But they've gone so far under, they've stopped making sense altogether.

Let's identify some characteristics we associate with gay men. Many gay men have speech inpediments and feminine voices. They may have interests considered predominantly feminine, like watching morning television and anything within a three hour's radius of "Grey's Anatomy." In many cultures, an interest in high fashion is considered feminine. Many of us know gay men who visit gay bars or are shy in straight environments because they otherwise feel pressured to socialize with women.

Alright, so there are a lot of things a person in our society grows to associate with a gay man, whether or not we know any personally. Some characteristics are probably myth, but cultivating such a rich inclusive culture is very notable. Many conservatives take a public stance against homosexuality, which generally is comprised of yelling at public displays of affection or whispering within a group of friends.

But when you start chewing out men or women for "homosexual characteristics," you've gone too far.

Think about it--how many times have you seen a man be ridiculed around your circle of friends for "being gay?" Has that warning switch ever clicked in your head because you've heard a man's voice or seen his clothing?

See, this is what the argument has become about. A conservative extremist will often judge a person on the assumption that they are gay, with no other evidence than "His voice is high" or "He wears women's clothes." Have you really got your head that far in the sand and your ass that far in the air? It's punishable now to have completely normal human characteristics? Has our society run this far into the ground where chic clothing is condemned by the Bible, or a birth characteristic like a high voice is combatted by God? Just because a man has gone to a bar and not stuck his dick in the nearest vagina, is he an abomination?

Seriously, let's encourage rape in public schools because it's a heterosexual activity. :iconhitlerwtfplz:

If you're about to spout some shit about me offending your religion, don't. I'm Pagan and I talk all the time about religion being rediculous, don't baww at me for misinterpreting the Bible or generalizing. Am I talking about the exceptions? No, I'm talking about offenders. I'm calling pompous bastards those who exhibit pompous bastard activity. In other words, if you've got a complaint, grow thicker skin. I don't care. :billoplz:
